Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.1 and Nisus Writer Express 3.4 Beta Releases

According to various news reports, OS X Lion will be released on the 20th of July. To address the few issues we have found with Lion we have released beta versions of Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.1 and Nisus Writer Express 3.4.

Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.1 addresses Lion compatibility issues and receives a handful of fixes for issues that appeared after its release (including fixes for the page number display bug and the Bookends issue). The beta release of Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.1 is available now (this is a direct download link).

Nisus Writer Express 3.4 also fixes Lion incompatibilities and receives a number of bug fixes. Nisus Writer Express 3.4 is available now (direct link) for your downloading pleasure.

NWE on the blogs

Some bloggers are starting to mention NWE. tingilinde says everyone should download NWE2 to try it out and tell us what you think, something I definitely recommend!

Giles Turnbull on O’Reilly is also trying out NWE and will blog more about it in the coming weeks.

Finishing 2.0

One of our developers recently moved to Japan. It has been a bit of a challenge to continue working with him while he is over there because the time difference is so great. Yesterday though, we did a bit of pair coding using iChat and and SubEthaEdit. The coolest part was using our iSights so we could video chat. I’ve never seen much benefit for a video-phone style service, but I have to say that when it comes to working very closely together, being able to see the other person makes a huge difference!
