Nisus Newsletter

Greetings From Nisus Land

"Please Don't Shoot That Poison Arrow"

Some of you take Valentine's Day way too seriously. Well, at least the shooting arrow part. Happily, I'm recovering nicely and should be good as new in 3 to 6 months.

While I've got your attention, here is a short review of the new MacBook Air: great hardware, terrible keyboard. The longer review is this would be a contender for my favorite Mac ever except for the keyboard. The keyboard is fine for me. I can type on it without making too many mistakes, and it is functional enough. It's not satisfying to use, however. It's just there, with its short travel and typing on glass feel. It's a shame, since the rest of the hardware is great. Great screen, high build quality, and Touch ID is a treat. That keyboard, though…

If you own one of these let us know what you think. I'm wondering if it's just me or do others feel this way about the new MacBook Air.

On to the newsletter, where we discuss modern poetry, flip phones, and why you should upgrade to Nisus Writer Pro 3.

Upgrading to Nisus Writer Pro 3

"A Worthy Upgrade"

I'm happy to report that a great many of you are upgrading to Nisus Writer Pro 3. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. I can't express enough how much we appreciate it.

For those of you who haven't yet upgraded, there are quite a few reasons why you should. From our highly praised implementation of Split View, or our newly enhanced Full Screen (with typewriter scrolling!), the updated UI, the lower price, or the hundreds of enhancements that make up the rich tapestry that is Nisus Writer Pro 3.

Whatever the reason, we hope that you will consider upgrading. It's only $45, and can be purchased from our store. We think you will be very happy you did.

DIY Support

"Help Me Help You Help Me"

While we are on the subject of upgrading, we receive many emails from people asking for the license numbers so they can purchase upgrades. We are very happy to do this, but did you know that you could retrieve your licenses yourselves? It's true, you can!

Our support page is full of information to help you help yourselves. You can look up your license, contact support directly, and find links to current Nisus user guides. There are also links to our FAQs, and a link to our user forums. The forums are a wonderful place to ask for help, or just browse for answers. Our forum users are knowledgable, courteous, and are welcoming of new users.

If you're starting with Nisus Writer, have a complex question about macros, or want to lookup your license, the support page is your starting point.
