Unicode Fonts

Post by jfoster7 »

I have recently purchased a unicode Semitic transliterator from Linguist's software. Whenever I try to type one of the special characters kearning, ligatures, and even the font size do not remain stable. The font seems to work in TextEdit, but not NWE 2.0.1. Is anyone familiar with this product or have suggestions as to why it is not being reproduced as the keyboard layout provided by Linguist's software suggests.

I have not had any experience with Linguists Software's transliterators for Unicode. Can you have them contact me regarding this?

Linguists Software and the Semitic Transliterator http://www.linguistsoftware.com/stu.htm

They declare at their website the following:
The only Macintosh applications we are aware of that support Unicode at this time are Microsoft Word 2004, Nisus Writer Express, InDesign 2.0, TextEdit (included with Mac OS X), Mellel, BBEdit, and OpenOffice. We have only tested the fonts in Word 2004, Nisus Writer Express, InDesign 2.0 and TextEdit.
