Paragraph Palette question

Post by paulfrank »

Hi,

My name is Paul and I'm a translator in Switzerland. I've recently switched to Macs and Started using NWE. Here's my question. My paragraph palette has shrunk, or minimized, to a slither and I can't seem to expand it to work with it. I can see the arrow on the left, the word "Paragraph" in the middle, and the x on the right but that's all. The stuff that ought to be underneath is gone. Clicking on the arrow is not doing it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Paul, a bug in the current version of Express can sometimes cause this situation to occur. The next free upgrade should prevent it from happening.

In the meantime, there are two ways to fix this. The first is to delete your Nisus Writer Express preferences file. The second is more involved, but won't cause any loss of preferences:

1. Remove the palette that is misbehaving from the drawer. Just click the little x.
2. Open up the palette library using the menu Window > Palettes > Show Palette Library.
3. Reinsert the palette into the drawer by dragging the preview to the drawer.
