opening files with Hebrew fonts created with older versions

Probably a simple answer to this, but when I open older Nisus Writer documents (e.g created with v.2.5) using my new Nisus Writer Express, I am not able to read the hebrew letters. I get gibberish characters instead of Hebrew letters. I always have used the "New Peninim" font, and it is installed on my version of Nisus Writer Express.

Do you mean created with Nisus Writer Classic (eg: version 6.5 or previous)? If the problem files are Classic Nisus Writer files, then this is a font issue.

Despite the fact that Peninim is available for OSX, that font's name in Classic mode is actually given Hebrew I believe, which is what causes the problem. This should be fixed in Express 2.6.1. However, if the problem font is not actually Peninim, and is instead another Hebrew font we are not aware of, then there may still be some work for us yet. If this is the case please email the file to expressfeedback@nisus.com and I will have a look.

Yes, this allows me to open the older files. Thank you.

However, oddly, the Hebrew text now contains a few characters that are a different Hebrew font! These characters stand out visually in the text as slightly larger and a less "formal" looking font than the rest of the characters. I suppose it is similar to the difference between characters in serif and a sans serif fonts. In any case it is noticeable, and while I can painstakingly replace each offending character, this is a time consuming and hopefully unnecessary process.
