Program closes when I try to delete
Strange thing, I have one particular NWE file-- when I hit the delete key, the program closes. I guess the file is corrupt?? It is mostly tables, so it might be difficult to retype the whole thing. I downloaded Vers 2.6.1 hoping that the problem might dissipate, but no luck. Any advice..
try
have you tried to 'save as' that file
or
copy all and paste into another file and save it
just a couple thoughts
another would be to make a copy (option-drag) of the file, but I am guessing that would be the least likely one to work

My wife had the same problem a couple of days ago: deleting text in a table crashed NWE. After about a day of recurring crashes, the problem went away. I'm not sure why. If the problem occurs in one particular table (in my wife's case it was one particular cell), you might try recreating that one table.
On the off-chance that this relates to your problem, are you working in Page View? Does the problem occur in Draft View? Does the table stretch from left margin to right margin? Does the problem occur if you reduce the width of the table?

Send the file to Nisus through the help>send feedback menu item.Foxofjapan wrote:Strange thing, I have one particular NWE file-- when I hit the delete key, the program closes. Thanks to all of you for responding. I tired Gemboy's suggestion before posting, but it was Craig's advice that worked!! It seems that one font did not agree with the file. Changing the font solved the problem( as I am working in two languages, I may be more susceptible to such problems). Also thanks to MIdwinter for the suggestion of sending the file to Nisus--I suspected such a system existed.
Ours is not to reason why,
Ours is just to ......repair and reply.....................?
