After finally having my fill of MS Word, I have begun looking for a replacement. I downloaded a trial version of NWE and am very, very impressed. I do not need many of the features of Word, which seem only to add to its clunky operation. However, one feature that I use almost daily is Word's "track changes" feature. I have looked through the NWE documentation and cannot find this feature. Have I missed it? If not, will it be added in the future? I saw in a post from 2003 that this feature was slated to be added.
Thanks in advance to any and all who can help,
Steve Swinton

Steve,
Thank you for your interest in Nisus Writer Express.
The feature you request (track changes) is indeed on the official "To Do" list. We have not, however, determined how high on that list it appears (this has to do with how much people want/need it, and how much the feature "costs").

Tracking Changes
My vote is for tracking changes. I have just bought a licence so for me it's not a deal breaker at the moment but in the medium term I think it's the sort of feature that will encourage SME's and academics to buy into Nisus.

I, too, would enjoy this feature, but I wouldn't vote for it more highly than some we've already talked about; namely, TOC/indexing.
So, my own humble vote says to keep it on the list, but more on a when-you-can basis.
