Nisus domain getting closer to expiry date again

Post by jeab »

Whois informs that the registry expiry date for the nisus.com domain is 2026-07-07 at 04:00 UTC, so in slightly more than a week. Last year, the domain was renewed one month in advance. This has not happened this year.

We will know soon.

The world of writing has been a better place with Nisus. It would (will) be tragic to see it vanish.

It's really a shame Nisus hasn't been re-licensed as open source, and this forum isn't doing Nisus any favors, either.

There have been several times I've wanted to post an answer but couldn't pound my way past the hosting errors.

Today, on the day before the expiry date, nisus.com was updated. The new registry expiry date is 2031-07-07.

Hi Jeab –

what a five-year-wild-card! – Kind of rebirth, maybe?

G'day, all

I've been following the forums all this time, albeit with frequent connection failures. Login has been problematic. I too had seen the 5-year domain renewal on Whois. I hope that the long registration term this time means that Nisus (whoever that is now) will get serious about addressing these forum issues and take up the reins once more to keep Nisus Writer the outstanding tool that it is.

Cheers,
