I'm having problems with a document involving pages and sections.
I simply want to create a portion of one page with two columns. I inserted two section breaks on the same page making a total of three sections. The goal is to have section 2 display two columns. Initially, everything looked right. however when I closed and reopened the file it only showed two pages, ending with the second section break. The page count in the bottom left corner of the window indicated only two pages. Frantically searching around, I discovered that draft view showed the entire document and correct number of pages, but switching back to Page View only shows 2 Pages.
In removing the section breaks in draft view and trying again, I've had these results:
If the second section break is at the bottom of the page, Nisus goes into a never-ending colored spinning wheel mode which I eventually have to force quit the application and restart. I can manipulate the returns so my second section break is not at the bottom, and can successfully create the break. However, now when I try to format Section 2 with two columns, the contents of Section 2 goes into one column but Section 3 incorrectly goes to the right column. Clicking in the left column shows it is Section 2 with 2 columns, but clicking in the right column says it's Section 3 with one column. Going into Section 2 and removing and reinserting returns causes the sections to seemingly behave correctly with only Section 2 showing two columns, but when I quit and restart I end up with my original problem of only showing 2 pages except in draft mode.
Arghh …
Any ideas?
By the way, though my document in question has a lot of placed graphics, I can duplicate this problem on a test file using text only.

Are you sure you are using Nisus 2.1.1? I also had this kind of salad earlier, but it vanished with 2.1.1. Or maybe you have this bug because you still are, if I understand you right, using OS 10.3.2. Update to 10.3.8 or 9, it might help solve the problem. It's free.
