Type-size when saving documents

A problem concerning saving documents:
You can opt for a type-size by increments of 0.1 point, through the dialog-box (though not through the palette). Upon saving text set in (e.g.) 11.8 points, and re-opening the document, it is reduced to 11.5 points. This makes the application less useful than it would otherwise be, in fitting text to available space without too noticeable alteration in size for readers, avoiding what can be the rather blunt instrument of the Page Setup figure.
