I am curious about which is better for translating to other wp - footnotes or endnotes? Or does it matter? In my mind it seems that endnotes might transfer better.
I write many papers (10-100 pages) with many linguistic (Hebrew, Greek, Latin, German, English) notes. Over the past decade I have used footnotes extensively - generally avoided endnotes (many were done in Word in OS 7-9). But now that I am in OS X and the RTF world of Nisus, I wanted insight to whether one or the other is a better choice.
Footnotes - Endnotes in RTF?

Hi:
In my experience endnotes will generally display most similar on different word processors because it is more clear cut about how an endnote should display. The one exception is Pages which does not support endnotes at all. In that case you need to use footnotes for anything to transfer.
