Hello all,
Much to my dismay, I found out that after invoking the Spelling Window, NWE finds the mispelled words but clicking the Correct button takes you to the next mispelled word but does NOT correct the previous mispelled word. After a while, all mispelled words have been found, but none are corrected, thus the process enters in a forever loop.
Practically this means that one must use the Check Spelling function (command-shift-;) and manually correct each mispelled word...
Very annoying and obviously a bug introduced by NWE 2.1.
Nisus folks: any idea why this happens? A bug indeed?
Thanks
Georges

Hello Georges,
I've had no luck in reproducing your bug. If I type something like:
"Redd and blue make purplee"
Then I bring up the spelling window, and "Redd" is shown as misspelled. If I select the word "Red" from the list of replacements and click "Correct", all is well and "Redd" is replaced with "Red" in my document.
Perhaps you are not selecting a replacement from the word list before clicking "Correct"?

Reproducing my bug
Hello Martin,
I created a new file in Nisus and tried out your example. It worked fine. I tried with my file and it did not work...
I have used the NWE feedback menu to send you folks my file so you can check it yourselves.
Thanx,
Georges

Martin and George:
I just tried the same thing and was able to reproduce it. The trick is to NOT actually pick the word. i.e., if I type "redd" and choose check spelling and simply click on "Correct" without clicking on the proper choice then George's problem happens. This would be common behavior, for example, if there is only one suggestion and it appears selected already.
