is still downloading the help file from 2015. Thus, nothing about NW3

I'm not sure what you mean. My version of NW3 has a help pdf dated October 7, 2018. There is also an online version

You can access the latest guide in PDF format from NWP 3's Help menu.

The link to download the user guide as a PDF was indeed incorrect on our Nisus Writer webpage. It's been fixed now, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks, Martin, for fixing this. thought my mind was going (well at close to 70, I'm not so sure it isn't anyway, but at least not related to NWP.)
