Greetings From Nisus Land
Hello Friends! Welcome back to the Nisus Newsletter. It's been a while and we have a few important (but brief) topics to cover. Read on for the details regarding macOS Sonoma compatibility and our holiday sale.

Nisus Writer and macOS Sonoma
Nisus Writer initially did not get along with macOS Sonoma– they were a bit like oil and water, or maybe a sardine and grape jelly sandwich. Whatever the metaphor, it wasn't pleasant.
The main issue was related to Apple's new predictive typing feature, which triggered frequent crashes in Nisus Writer. You could disable the feature system-wide to restore a mostly smooth experience, but there were issues with other aspects like printing and Sonoma's new text insertion point (aka: caret). That's all behind us now.
The latest versions of Nisus Writer Pro (version 3.4) and Nisus Writer Express (version 4.4) resolve system incompatibilities and ensure a smooth writing experience.
Those app versions are available right now for customers that purchased directly from Nisus Software. You can download updates from nisus.com or via the in-app automatic updater. However, if you purchased via the Mac App Store, we are still waiting to clear Apple's submission process, which may be slow during the holidays. The new versions will be available via the App Store as soon as possible, pending Apple's approval.
InfoClick and macOS Sonoma
InfoClick also had a shaky start on macOS Sonoma. There were system text decoding issues that could be triggered by certain email content. We don't know exactly what content would cause the crash, but Apple appears to have fixed it.
So if you're using InfoClick on Sonoma we recommend that you update to macOS 14.2.1 or later.
How Will The World End?
"Wild at Heart and Weird On Top"
As the new year approaches, it's always nice to reflect on the passage of time. We should strive to appreciate our journey through life, be grateful for all that we have, and find peace in our hearts. The inner calm feels good, even when the outer world is crazy.
But of course if you have a few spare moments, why not consider the flip side, which leads us to our very important survey question:
