It's September and it is really hot. I mean, for us it is hot. Humid too. I can take hot, but humidity is my kryptonite. It's worse when, like me you volunteer for outdoor work for the state. Those freeways don't get cleaned up by themselves, people. Oh, and quite a few of you have lousy aim.
In spite of this, I will try to soldier on as we have some exciting news. Enjoy!
Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.5
"Updates Ahoy!"
We are very happy to announce the release of Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.5. There are quite a few bugs fixed, some enhancements, preliminary support for Mavericks (OS X 10.9) and other niceties that are too numerous to list here. You can read the complete release notes online or under the Help menu in Pro 2.0.5. Have a seat and get some snacks. It's a long read.
Nisus Writer Pro can be updated from within the app. Select "Check for Updates" from the "Nisus Writer Pro" menu and follow the instructions. You can also download the update from our site.
You can purchase Nisus Writer Pro from our store for only $79. The upgrade from Pro 1.x is only $49. An academic version is available ($39) as is a three license Family Pack for only $99.
Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.5 requires OS X 10.6.6 or above.
For those of you who have purchased through the Mac App Store, Nisus Writer Pro 2.0.5 has been submitted but we have no idea when it will be approved. It could be three days or three weeks. We will update on our blog and send out a newsletter when the app is approved.
We will also be there for you after the sale. You can ask questions in our user forums, or write to us directly. Either way, friendly people are there to help you through the rough patches.

Just because Pro gets an update doesn't mean its older brother doesn't deserve one too. So welcome Nisus Writer Express 3.4.4 to the family!
Express 3.4.4 receives many of the same updates as Pro, including bug fixes, enhancements, and preliminary support for OS X 10.9. Read the complete release notes online or under the Help menu from within Express.

As with Pro we have submitted Express 3.4.4 to the Mac App Store. I'm sure it will be approved within a week or two, but we really do not know for sure. We will let you know when we know.
