I realized as I was sitting here reading The Adventures of Tintin that there was a pack of Gitanes near me. This I found odd, considering that I do not smoke. Who could have left it? Was I dreaming?
As it turns out none of that matters because I realized at that moment that I had something very important to share with you. After many years, thousands of man hours, and the loss of nine good men (they didn't pass on, they just got tired and left), we are happy to announce that Nisus Writer Express, Nisus Writer Pro, and Nisus Thesaurus are available in the Mac App Store.
This is a big deal for us since it potentially exposes us to a wider audience. Plus, we can tell people that we are in the app store, which is nice.
Nisus Writer Express is $45, Nisus Writer Pro is $79, and Nisus Thesaurus is a free download.
There are some things you should know, however, if you are thinking of purchasing from the app store. You cannot purchase upgrades, family packs, or any other versions other than full versions. Those items can be purchased from our store, which we will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.
Second, if you have already purchased Pro or Express you cannot use the app store to update your products. They can only be updated through the app store if you purchased through the app store. You can still update through us if you purchased previously from our store.
So to sum up Express, Pro, and Thesaurus are now available in the Mac App Store. Now maybe I can use Siri to solve the mystery of the Gitanes.

There are many ways to connect with other users of Nisus (that's us!) products. The main way to connect is by using our forum. These forums are very active and there are many users ready to help you with a problem or a question.
We also have an email list called the Nisus Interactive List and the Nisus Dartmouth List. The two lists are different, but the same. Let me explain. The Nisus-Interactive List is a focused list that deals with questions or comments related to Nisus products or Mac related issues. The Nisus Dartmouth List is more free-form. It is mainly about Nisus products but will also veer off into many off topic discussions that range from Latin to old Ford Cortinas. If you can take the signal to noise ratio then the Dartmouth list might be for you.
There are other ways of connecting, such as leaving comments or a rating at sites like the Mac App Store, I Use This and Mac Update. Hey, we are even considering opening an official Twitter account. I know, I know ... welcome to 2008. Better late than never!
