I'd like to open this newsletter up with a joke.

Now that we have that out of the way, I am happy to report that summer has finally hit our area. And only two months late! Personally, I could have lived with it being the way it was for a few more months. It's now very hot, sticky, and as my niece would say, kind of yucky.

I mention the above because I have to fill up space. Don't complain ... I could have used lorem ipsum instead of actual words. And as I say to my friends "lorem ipsum dolor sit!"

Selling roadside corn near the interstate I read an article that a certain multinational software company will be releasing an updated version of their office suite for the Mac. However, there will be no right to left text capabilities in this version yet again.

I point this out because there are some companies that support right to left text input on the Mac and will do so for the foreseeable future. One of those companies is, of course, Nisus Software.

We are always working to try to make right to left text input better, and we will never stray from this mission. It's what we have done for a quarter century, and it isn't going to change now.

So in closing, I would just like to say "nullam condimentum condimentum luctus."

Words to live by, for sure.

Academic Versions

When I was going to school, I didn't have it easy like you young kids. I had to pay for my own education while walking 18 miles in the snow to and from school. Backwards even! And I didn't have a computer, as they were very expensive back then. Yeah, that 26 mile walk was tough.

But, that was then and this is now. Now I can help out my fellow students by letting you know about our academic versions of Nisus Writer Pro and Nisus Writer Express.

The academic version of Nisus Writer Pro is only $39 and can be purchased from the Pro academic page. The Express version is $26 and can be purchased on its academic page.

To qualify for the academic versions you need to be a member of the faculty, a student, or employed by a scholastic institution.

So if you are in academia, please use those academic discounts while they are available to you. At least you lot do not have to walk 47 miles in the snow. Backwards.
