In this letter:

Greetings From Nisus Land
"Kilts and Stuff"

This Yahoo/Microsoft (MicroHoo?) thing is really bugging me. Seems that Yahoo isn't taking too kindly to Microsoft's marriage proposal. Young lovers ... what can you do?

Anyway, it looks like Yahoo is holding out for a fair prenup agreement. Something north of 41 billion dollars. Well, I don't have that, but if any Yahoo executives are reading this mess, I am interested in pursuing a deal.

I have at least $57.00 on me right now, and I can probably scrape up another $30 or $40 bucks or so. So that's close to $100, which I think is a pretty fair offer, considering that I am not Microsoft, nor am I affiliated in any way. I am just a person who wants to walk around like a big shot, telling people that I own a big company.

That's not too much to ask, is it?

Well, it is.

Didn't think so.

On another odd note, someone is accusing me of not being the person in this picture. I am shocked ... shocked I tell you that someone could accuse me of such scandalous behavior. I mean really, would I lie to you?

Look, that picture is me, and so is this one. And this one. Even this one.

I hope that clears up this ugly matter.

Nisus Writer Pro
"Nisus Writer Makes Writing Easy And Fun"

In his review (scroll down a bit and you will see it) of Nisus Writer Pro, entitled "The Best Mac Word Processor", writer Wallace Wang says "If you need only the power of Word 2008 without the complexity, then Nisus Writer Pro is the one you want."

Believe me, we are blushing even now for those kind words.

More and more, people are having a long look at Nisus Writer Pro. Most like the clean, uncluttered interface. They also like the way Pro stays out of your way, allowing you to just write. Some like the powerful find and replace, and the easy Styles system. Or the compatibility with other word processors on other platforms.

You too can see why Nisus Writer Pro receives these reviews by downloading the 15 non-consecutive days demo of Pro. You can then purchase Pro for only $79 (or $89 plus shipping for the CD version) from our store.

Nisus Writer Pro is a Universal Binary and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9, or 10.4 for right to left text input.

So download, purchase, and enjoy!

KeyFonts DX

Hey, what do you know? We carry fonts!

OK, I knew that. But, did you know that? That remains to be seen.

We carry a package called KeyFonts DX. It consists of thousands of TrueType fonts that work both in Mac OS X, Windows XP at least, and for you old timers, Mac OS 9.

The cost is $39.95, and they can be purchased from our store.

You can also preview the fonts at our KeyFonts DX page.

So have a look, and if you like what you see, feel free to purchase them.

Hey, I need to eat too, you know.

Tips and Tricks
"Nisus Thesaurus Tip"

Rock Strongo here, and before I start, let's just get this out of the way: Some folks think I am a cranky, nervous calamity of a person. That could not be further from the truth.

For example, let me tell you a joke. What do you get when you mix white wine, club soda, and Elliot Spitzer? A very bad joke that I am not going to tell, OK? Geez!

Anyway, let's get to the tip so I can get out of here already.

Nisus Thesaurus sits in your Applications folder, just waiting for a Nisus Writer to make use of it. However, did you know that if Nisus Thesaurus sits in your Dock, you can drag a word from just about any application to the Nisus Thesaurus icon and it will give you the definition?

It's a neat trick that I learned by accident.

Now I am off to sleep off my "headache".
