In this letter:

Greetings From Nisus Land
"After The Show"

Another Macworld has come and gone, and so has my sanity. I say that because I have been trying to catch up from that week at Macworld and I am failing miserably. OK, I am not trying that hard, but doing that would mean actually working, and that just isn't going to happen. I really hope that my boss isn't reading this. Wait ... what am I worried about? I know he isn't reading this. He reads interesting things.

The show was fun, make no mistake, but it just didn't have the buzz that the 2007 show had. Of course, it would be very hard to match the excitement of last year's show. I mean, we introduced Nisus Writer Pro, which made everyone on the show floor excited. Or was it that iPhone thing?

We did get the MacBook Air, which generated some buzz. I really like Time Capsule, but the other stuff ... let's just say not many people were talking about those things. Personally, I would love a MacBook Air, as I can live with the compromises you have to make in order to use it. But, I can't justify spending the money it takes to buy one.

So, my Mac Portable will just have to do for the meantime.

As for the Nisus booth, we had a pretty good show. We gave out all of the CDs we brought with us (we never have enough CDs to give away, no matter how many we bring with us), and we caught some flack for actually taking CDs. Bad for the environment, it seems. I would love to do something else instead of a CD, but not sure what that would be. We also caught some flack for actually having the nerve to wear pants. First of all, why would anyone actually care? Secondly, where would anyone get the idea that we wouldn't wear pants? Odd.

My answer to the complainers is pretty simple, however. There are laws, even in San Francisco! Plus, kilts are actually comfortable and quite sexy, I must say. On me, anyway.

Anyway, we gave away a lot of stuff, showed the still in development Pro 1.1 (which went over very well!), and generally had a lot of fun.

Now, a few weeks later, I am back in the office and struggling to stay awake.

Yup, life is now back to normal.

Nisus Writer Pro
"Editors' Choice!"

One of the cool things that happened to us at Macworld was finding out we had been named an "Editors' Choice" by MacLife (formally known as MacAddict) magazine! Pro was also given an "Awesome" rating by their staff. How cool is that?

In the review, the author calls Pro a "worthy wordsmith" and writes that "Nisus Writer Pro is simple, responsive, and packed with useful features ..." and goes on to say that "The Pro version positions itself as a heavyweight word processor for demanding users - and it's much more pleasant to work with than Microsoft Word any day of the week."

That's just about as good as it gets, to be honest.

But the fun doesn't end there.

You too can see why Pro received this great review by downloading the fully-functional 15 day demo. You can sample just how easy it is to use immediately, look at our awesome user interface, gawk at the power of our find and replace (no other word processor has a find and replace feature quite as powerful), and be amazed at our compatibility with other word processors. And if you check out our Pro page you can read about these features and many others that make Nisus Writer Pro a MacLife Editors' Choice!

Nisus Writer Pro costs $79.00 USD. A three license Family Pack is available for only $99.00. CD versions are available for $10.00 extra, plus shipping. You can order directly from us at our online store.

By the way, Nisus Writer Pro is a Universal Binary and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9, or 10.4 for right to left text input.

So get cracking!

Kyoto Gardens 3
"Take a stroll in the gardens"

Kyoto Gardens was a product that we sold for a very long time. Unfortunately, it got a bit long in the tooth and was not updated for for OS X. It was placed in a waterproof box and thrown off a boat in the Sea of Japan. However, our good friends at Mercury Software sent a team of divers and rescued the software. It has now been updated and modernized for modern times, no less.

So we are pleased to offer the new improved, Universal Binary version of Kyoto Gardens. For only $25.00 plus shipping, you can take long strolls in these famous gardens, thanks to the wonders of QuickTime VR.

Now we only have 5 of these in stock, and frankly they will go fast. So order quickly from our store to avoid backorder status.

And no one wants that.
