"Nisus Writer Pro Public Beta Released"
In the last newsletter, I explained why the Nisus Writer Pro Public Beta had not been released. Thankfully, I don't have to do that again.
That's because I am very happy to announce the release of the Nisus Writer Pro Public Beta.
As we announced earlier this year, Nisus Writer Pro brings new features such as Table of Contents, Indexing, Bookmarks, Widow and Orphan control, Cross References, Line Numbering, and Text Wrap around images.
Classic Nisus Writer users will appreciate the addition of attribute sensitive Find and Replace, Glossaries and an upgraded Nisus Macro Language.
There are also many other enhancements and fixes.
You can download this public beta, which expires in 60 days, from our Nisus Writer Pro page.
The system requirements are a PowerPC G3, G4, G5 and Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later (Mac OS X 10.4.x is recommended).
Please remember that this is beta software, and still in development. Bad things could happen to valuable documents, so please use appropriate caution. Please read the relase notes before using.
We do not provide technical support on beta software, so use this product at your own risk.
You can, however, send us feedback using the "Send Feedback" feature, which is located under the "Help" menu in Nisus Writer Pro. Your feedback makes the product better, so feel free to send it to us.
So download the beta, send us feedback, and enjoy the new features. But, don't blame us if you get hooked on the new features. I did, and I am just out of rehab.
