Grettings From Nisus Land
"Rants and Raves"
This time, I want to rant a little. There will be a rave too, but I gotta get this rant off my chest.
Earlier this week, it rained here in Southern California. Now I admit that it doesn't rain very much here in San Diego. However, I really wish I knew why PEOPLE CANNOT DRIVE IN THE RAIN! I don't get it ... it just isn't that hard to do. Others do it, why can't we? I mean, every time it rains here, there are many accidents caused by folks who just can't drive in the wet stuff. People, get off the phone, slow down, and pay attention. It just isn't that hard.
And don't get me started with people merging onto the freeway at half the speed limit. Argh!
Hear this and more on my new podcast, "Why am I so cranky?" coming soon to a mp3 player near you.
Now for the rave. Now I admit to being a big technology hound. I lust after many, many toys in my heart. However, my latest object of my desire is the new "Video" iPod. Apple calls it the iPod with Video. I call it something I have to have.
Now comes new PowerBooks (eh) and new PowerMacs (oh yeah!). Geez, what are they putting in the water up there?
Stupid Apple ... they need to stop releasing so many of these things. It makes my heart hurt.
So at this point you are probably saying "who cares?" What does this have to do with Nisus? Nothing at all really, I am just venting. I lust after things I cannot possibly afford. Is that a crime? Oh, it is. Well then, nevermind.
OK, I will make this Nisus related. As I said earlier, I lust after objects I cannot possibly afford. However, you can lust after something you can afford: Nisus Writer Express.
Which leads us to ...

Did You Know?
"Footnotes to Endnotes and Vice Versa"
Rock Strongo back for more ... something. Did you know that you can covert footnotes to endnotes and vice versa? Well, you can. Here is how:
Select the footnote(s) you would like to convert and choose the Format > Style > Endnote menu. For endnotes just choose the corresponding Footnote style menu.
A quicker way (and my favorite way) is to use the note tag on the Express status bar. Just select a note, click the note tag so that the pop-up menu appears, then select the note style you wish to convert it to. No fuss, no muss. Easy, huh?
Thank you, and remember, tip your wait staff.
Goodnight!
