problems opening 2.1.1

OS 10.3.6 on a Ti PB. With NX2.1.1 I can't open the app directly, by double clicking on it, or any other way for that matter. I have to open it by opening a pre-existing Nisus file. Anyone else have this problem? I didn't have it in 2.1.

Once you have Nisus Writer open are you able to start a new document? You may want to try deleting your preferences. Look for the file named "com.nisus.NisusWriter.plist" in your Library/Preferences folder.

problems opening 2.1.1

If I have it open I can create a new file.

I think the problem is due to an incompatibilty with 'Pathfinder', which I like to use. NWX 2.1.1 works fine in the Finder.

Hm. I am not aware of any incompatibility with PathFinder. We will look into it. Thanks for the report.

Hello,
I have almost the same problem, but I don't use PathFinder. And sometimes I'm not able to launch Nisus Writer Express 2.1.1 at all.
I have deleted my preferences, but the problem is still here.

( I saw that the error message appears during the process of font loading )

Thanks for your precious help

Oups, sorry ! The message is :
L'application Nisus Writer Express a quitté inopinément.

thank you.

Malheureusement, ça n'a rien changé

After you experience this problem, please relaunch Nisus Writer and send us a report using "Report a Bug" under the "Help" menu. We will look at the crash report and see if we can determine the source of your problem.

Tétielle:

Thank you for your report. It looks like you are having a problem with your languages. Please try the following:

1. Find the folder named {your user folder}/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer and open in.

2. Inside that folder, you should find another folder called "Languages". Move that to your desktop.

Now try launching Nisus Writer Express and see if your problem goes away.

If it does, please e-mail this folder to support@nisus.com. Then you can delete that folder. If you made any changes to specific languages in the Languages or QuickFix preference panes, you will need to set those again.

Hi Charles,
I wish you an happy new year !

Thank's for your answer. I have tested it this morning and it seems to be good.

In my "Nisus Writer" folder I've found a folder "languages" (empty) and a folder "langues" (with content)

I've sent it to support@nisus.com

Thanks again
have a nice day
regards
