Dear Charles!
Thank you very much for your reply. I am faced with another problem, however. I work out of Papua New Guinea... The lines are restricted, the bandwidth about the width of the average hair

The download takes me 3 1/2 hours on the line where both the length of the call as well as every bite of info cost me. Maybe it would be cheaper to buy an updater cd from Nisus? Your site is, of course, not the only site that has this problem from here.
Otherwise I am highly satisfied with the purchase. I initially got the program from my Mac magazine (I don't know whether I can mention names: Mac Format) I then just purchased the license numbers (I bought a family pack.
Please get me right: I do NOT ask for everything free, of course not. I just need a practical way of maintaining the software, even if I have to contribute.
Best wishes
Jens

Hi Jens:
I think it is very interesting that you are using Nisus Writer Express in Papua New Guinea, and even more amazing that you found Mac Format magazine there! It's especially nice to hear how people run into our software because it helps us to know how to better reach others.
But enough of that, you can buy a CD only version of NWE2.1 for $10. This will get you a CD but no serial number, which you do not need because you already have serial numbers of course. Look at the bottom of
this order page. We will release a maintenance update (2.1.1) in just a few weeks though, so you might want to wait on the CD for that.
