When I click on a LiveObject it does not appear to activate.

If a Live Object will not activate when you click on it, then the Object may have been placed into a "bundled state", OpenDoc may be de-installed on your machine, or the editor for the Live Object is only a viewer. In the Part Info dialog (found in the Edit Menu), you can choose to "Click to Select Part", this is called bundling the object. If the object is bundled, then clicking on the part will not activate it, it will select it and double clicking it will open it in it's own window (if the Object supports that feature).
