dictionary style headers

I'm still running an ancient Mac with OS9 and Framemaker, bought eons ago so I could have smart, variable headers updated on the fly, where the first and last entries on a page appear automatically in the header. Can the current version of NISUS do that?

My old Mac is dying and my new Macs won't run OS9, so I'm pretty desperate to find an alternative. I know that inDesign can do it but it is pricey and I don't want to RENT my software forever from Adobe if I can help it.

Unfortunately NWP doesn't have automatic running headers like that, sorry. But I'll upvote the enhancement request we have filed for the feature.

+1 (but it'll be a post-Snow Leopard version of NWP :( )

Seriously, if Nisus Writer Pro had dictionary style headers, it would be a Framemaker killer! Framemaker is only available on Windows and costs 1 grand! There is nothing on the Mac platform that is close to this. You could call the new version Pro+ and charge $20 more for that one feature alone.

The other power features, e.g., multiple indexes, are already in NWP.

Another vote counted, thank you Mark.

And we're always looking to add value to NWP!
