epub is the extension name for ebooks. I know that the Atlantis Wordprocessor can export this format.

Please define "ebook". For reading on what device(s)?

"EPUB (electronic publication) is an e-book standard, by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF), which consists of three file format standards (files have the extension .epub), described below. It supersedes the Open eBook standard."
It can be read on these devices:
* IREX DR1000 eReader
* Apple iPhone (using Lexcycle Stanza)
* Hanlin eReader
* Sony Reader
* COOL-ER Reader
* Phones/devices using Android (using Aldiko or FBReaderJ)
* Plastic Logic
* BeBook
* jetBook

And Amazon's Kindle?
By happenstance, I read something about it yesterday in a print industry magazine. It works in black and white and two shades of gray so it supports type and simple diagrams. I'm publishing a book in PDF format for reading on laptops specifically so I can include color which is so expensive in print.
