i've gotten a new ibook to replace my slowly self-destructing one-- is there a way to transfer my NWE to the new computer without having to buy another license? i did the download, not cd, if that matters...

Simply use either your existing download or a new one to install NWX on your new computer and use your existing license key. Or simply copy your existing NWX installation (along with all your other stuff) to your new machine using Apple's Migration Assistant, after connecting your old machine to your new machine in Firewire disk mode.
Of course once you have installed NWX on your new machine using your previous license key you must delete NWX from your old machine.

i'd transfered the program itself, but when i was using it on the new computer it warned me that the demo was up. i don't want to transfer the entire contents of my bloated hard disk, so i'm just assuming there's some file somewhere that i'm missing that will make it remember me.
I don't think i can see the license key... and of course i would only use it on one computer.

If you still have the automatically generated e-mail message from sales (at) nisus.com, you can find your license number there. I usually save software license information in more than one place and more than one form, but the license number should be (or at least have been) there. If not, perhaps Nisus has the license number on record.

Yeah, the first place I would check is your copy of the order email. If you don't have that anymore go ahead and write support from the email address you used to make the original purchase. They should be able to find your license for you.
