more footnote problems

When I'm typing footnote text it often happens that my computer beeps and that I cannot go on typing. It looks as if the cursor still is where it should be, but I have to click at that spot to bring it to life again, before I can go on typing. My impression is that this happens right after the insertion point has been pushed to the next line, but then only in notes that are already several lines long.
Is this happening to other users as well?

Yes this is also happening to me by the same way. I have to click in the main text and then again in the footer.
No Hint, No idea - I think its look like a bug!
Nisus 2.5, 10.4.2, PPC 1,2 GHZ, 1048 MB Ram.

Bart and Ooshima (and whoever else may encounter this),
While I have not seen this myself, you can consider this reported as a bug. We have, very high, on our "to do" list a complete review of all the footnote/endnote code in order to make it much more responsive and stable.
