Turn off "check spelling as you type" for all files?

Is there a way to turn off "check spelling as you type" for all files by default, rather than just on a file-by-file basis? I work with a lot of non-English words, and the system constantly wants me to "correct" them to English words. Sorry if this is a question with an obvious answer, but I'm at a loss. Nisus Writer Pro Version 3.4, macOS Sonoma 14.5.

Yes.
Create a custom language with disabled spelling.

1. Go to Nisus preferences > Languages and create a new custom language and name it “Nothing” (or something similar)
2.
Disable spelling
3. Open a new empty Nisus document
4. Assign the language attribute “Nothing” from the Format menu > Language > Nothing to the document
5. Save as
Document Template.
6. Every time you open this template, the spelling will be disabled.
7. You can also edit your
Nisus New File to achieve the same goal. Then every time you choose “New” from the File menu, you’ll get a new document in which “check spelling as you type” has been turned off.
