What Password is Needed?

OK, I see the announcements about there being new versions of Nisus Writer Express and Nisus Writer Pro to download. Everything seems to go fine until the very end, when it wants "a password" to complete the download. Which password? The one for my personal computer? A Nisus password? But my license # won't work, evidently?

Downloading the app, zip, or installer from nisus.com will never require a password.
Once you've downloaded the installer package (with a .pkg file extension) when you run it, it may prompt you for your Mac admin / user account password, i.e. the one you enter when starting your computer. That's so the installer can copy the app into the protected Applications folder.
If you don't want to deal with the installer, we recommend that you choose the zip archive. You can then move the app into place manually. Though that action may also prompt macOS to enter your admin password.
