On Nisus Writer 3.2.1, I cannot get the Powerfind Browser to show anything. The window is blank. All the controls are grayed out. I attempted to download another copy of the software but when I tried to install the package I got a dialog box that reads: "NisusWriterPro-v321.pkg can't be installed because its digital signature is invalid."

The software runs beautifully otherwise.

I am running Mac OS 10.11.6 on an early 2008 Mac Pro 3,1.

This is a problem with the PowerFind browser on older system versions like Mac OS X 10.11. I'm sorry, but we won't be able to work around the issue, which is ultimately caused by Apple's developer's tools. At this point 10.11 is a very old system (in Apple terms).

Your options are:

1. Upgrade your Mac to a newer system version. I realize that's not always convenient or possible.
2. Download an older version of Nisus Writer Pro from our version archives. I don't know exactly when the problem was introduced, so I can't say which versions you should try first.
3. Accept the non-functional PowerFind browser and continue using the latest version of Nisus Writer.

Do you know if this issue exists on 10.12 and 10.13 as well?

For me it seems to just work fine –

I have an early 15 MacBook Pro running Sierra and the latest Nisus; Powerfind works there. Sierra is 10.12, so I think whatever Apple did happened around then.

It takes a bit of courage to comment on an old thread, but I am experiencing this problem here with Nisus Writer Pro 3.4 and 10.14 Mojave.

To make the information more accurate, I tested the older versions one by one and found that in my case, reverting to 3.1 restored the original functionality of the Powerfind Browser. Just FYI
