Tip: letter case conversions

We have a new blog post about letter case conversions in Nisus Writer. It explains the difference between converting underlying characters and displaying text differently on screen. Nisus Writer has two groups of menu commands for this under Edit > Transform Text and Format > Letter Case respectively.

The blog post also covers some of the details when calculating small caps. Some fonts have proper typographic small caps with customized glyphs provided by the font designer. If a font does not have typographic small caps, Nisus Writer will instead synthesize their display by shrinking the font size:
