Text smoothing never turns off (OSX 10.3)

Hello,

Below is the text I tried and failed to send throught the 'Report bug' menu (see my previous post)

PB G4 1.33gz, 512 RAM, OSX 10.3.9, Nisus 2.1.3

1. System Preferences -> Appearance -> Turn off text smoothing for fonts sizes 12 and smaller

2. Nisus Express -> text smoothing is always on even for font sizes 12 and smaller

3. I did comparisons tests: Text smoothing is off in TextEdit, OmniOutliner and Microsoft Word, but on in Nisus and Mellel.

It is a big problem for me, because I need to write my Ph.D thesis now, and text smoothing is very uncomfortable for the eyes. If I could avoid the pain of doing it in MS Word, it would be great.

Best

Hi basile:

Right now, there are issues with OS X not displaying text properly if we allow text smoothing to be turned off. We have reported this issue to Apple and we will allow text smoothing to be turned off once it is fixed.

Hi Charles,

I urgently need a software that allows to write small sizes without smoothing - as does the small editors like TextEdit, iText or Tex-Edit. It seems that Nisus 2.6.1 is still not supporting this feature. Are you still working on that?
