In 2.5 I am having trouble with footnote formatting, specifically rulers in footnotes. The first footnote on each page--but not the first in the document--seems to ignore the Footnote style's paragraph formatting that I set.
I want to indent the first line of each footnote. If I edit the Footnote style, all the footnotes are indented except the first note on each page (other than the first in the document). Editing the ruler locally doesn't change the indentation either.
Similarly, when I tried adding 6 points of leading above each footnote, the first footnote on the page didn't change, though this is not as much of a surprise. As an experiment, I changed the Footnote style's alignment, and this does affect all footnotes.
I've sent feedback with an example document to Nisus, but I wonder whether anyone on the forum has a suggestion. I recall that there were similar complaints about earlier versions.

Footnote ruler formatting
I have a support email in with Nisus on a similar issue. I wanted my footnotes to be hanging indents. In trying to get that I had the issue that the first note on the second page insisted on indenting the whole note and not just the text. Support was able to duplicate this with the doc I sent but I have not seen a resolution. I suspect you are running afowl of the same issue—I do not yet want to call it a bug. Cheers!
