Strange Printing Behavior

Post by mosesmuses »

I have a 70-page manuscript created in NWE. Most pages end with a "page break" command. The ms, as written, prints out as seen on-screen. However, when I add lines to the title page, the last two lines of page two overprint lines seven and eight on page three; the last six lines of page three appear again at the bottom of page four. And so on.
I killed the print queue after that.
In sum, I can't add lines to a page ending with a page break, without haunting the rest of the manuscript. It's almost like the old days, when there was only paper.
Is there a cure? Is it a bug?

Appears that my mistake(?) had to do with inserting line spaces before adding new lines.
When I inserted the cursor at the end of the last line, hit return, then typed, then inserted line spaces, then saved, the file printed normally.
