I'll probably still be using Mellel as my primary tool while writing academic works, but will be using NWP for more or less everything else (and Pages through iCloud at work).
About two and a half years ago, I read something at a forum how to move the styles from Mellel to NWP (it can be read at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/red ... pics/11724 ) but unfortunately I did not save the screenshots that explained the steps how to move the styles. My question is now, do anyone here at the Nisus Forum have these graphics/screenshots/pictures available somewhere? If that's the case, I would appreciate to have it sent to me (I'll give you my e-mail address if you send a pm to my here at the forum).
Below is the text from the forum mentioned above:
Thanks.1. Select and copy the text with the character style in Mellel (see screenshot 1 and 2)
2. Paste it into a NWP document
3. Create a new Character Style in NWP by going to Format > Character Style > New Character Style
4. The Style Sheet View will be automatically displayed in NWP. It looks like this (see screenshot 3):
As you can see on the screenshot 3 the words "Character Style" are already selected. Give the new style a meaningful name, for example 'Mellel Style', by overwriting the words "Character Style".
5. Now switch back to your original view (I mostly use the Draft View)
6. Select the text that you just pasted in step 2 (= the text from Mellel containing the style attributes) and assign it the new NWP style by going to Format > Character Style > Mellel Style
7. Make sure that the text that you pasted in step 2 is still selected. Go to Format > Character Style > Redefine Style from Selection (see screenshot no. 4) and you're done!
To see the changes that were made go to the Style Sheet View by clicking on the Style Sheet button (see screenshot no. 5 and 6)
