Equivalent to Word "Clear formatting" command?

Is there an equivalent to the Word command "Clear formatting"? When importing (cut and paste) text from other sources (chiefly a web page), I'd like to quickly convert it to the default style.

Edit>Paste>Paste Text Only

Or, if you want to remove formatting from preexisting text:

Format>Remove Attributes Except Styles
