doc. files in Hebrew

Post by pitch »

I cannot open Hebrew .doc files in Nisus although I can open English .doc. files. With .rtf files there are no problem in both languages.

What do you mean exactly- the file won't open at all, or the Hebrew text isn't imported properly? Could you please send us one of these files using the menu Help > Send Feedback?

Well, with the help of Ruhama, I have found that doc files with a name in Hebrew (ברבאבא.doc) will not open in Nisus but if they are changed to English (barbaaba.doc), then they do open in Nisus. Very strange!

He means that merely changing the name of the file from hebrew to english solves the problem. It is strange, since the same file (sent to me for testing) opens fine even with a hebrew name. maybe the fact that I still (yes..yes) work with good old tiger has something to do with it.

Probably the same OpenOffice bug explained by ntx in

Has it not been fixed?
