Split windows

Post by credneb »

is one feature I'd very much like to see.

By split windows I mean a la Classic's ability to split the document window vertically into two separately scrollable parts so that you can, for example, view and edit one part of the document (say the beginning) in the top, another part (say the end) in the bottom, and copy/paste between them.

I completely concur. Why was such a valuable feature dropped in the first place?

We generally never "drop" features. One must remember that after the dawn of OSX all the code from Classic Nisus Writer had to be completely rewritten. It would be more accurate to say we simply haven't had time to reimplement/add such a feature, though it is a useful one and we know users want it.
