That's strange! Can you please post an example file, or share one with us privately? Using the menu
Help > Send Feedback is always the best way to do that. With a file in hand I should be able to provide a definite answer. It's hard to know just looking at screenshots.

Wonderful, thank you Iain! I replied to you via email directly, but this looks like a temporary layout issue with Page View, due to the global changes you were making.
If you save the file, close it, and then reopen it, you should see it display correctly– the unwanted spacing will be removed. This is a bug, of course. You shouldn't need to reopen the file like that. I'll log the problem in our issue tracker. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
