Prefs and New File

In the prefs there is an option under New File -> Format to set the line spacing in multiples and fractions of a line. For example I set this at 1 line using 12 pt Helvetica. I then edit Nisus New File and set the spacing to 16 pt and the default style to Normal - which also uses Helvetica and 16 pt...

Thanks Hamid. I thought that was the case. :)

Thesaurus

I currently have a copy of the Nisus Thesaurus in my Applications/Utilities folder. Given that with NWP 2.1 this is incorporated into the application, is it safe to remove this, or does 2.1 simply link to it?

Re: Future viability of Nisus

2.1 from 2.07 doesn’t sound like a big upgrade -- maybe just an update to keep up with Apple;s OS changes. [...SNIP...] But heavens, that was private beta 5 months ago! Is Nisus down to one engineer working part-time or something? cheers, geoff I think you're underestimating the changes to Nisus wh...

Re: What is Nisus doing when it is "typesetting text"?

If it's just a simple diary/journal type app you want then DayOne is also worth considering. iPad/iPhone versions are also available. All via the appropriate app store.

Re: Pointless Article

It's all about page hits……

Anything on that site that can shoehorn in a mention of Apple however tenuous the connection, is guaranteed masses of page hits from the Apple haters.

Re: Nisus Express to Scrivener?

What's the best way to move a document created in Nisus Express into Scrivener? Thanks. You will probably get a more detailed reply if you hop over to the Scriv forums. http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/ That said, since NWE native format is .rtf I doubt you will experience any serious problems.

Possible Nisus Macros Book

I've recently had to delve into using VBA Macros with Word and whilst surfing Amazon for information on VBA and macro construction, I realised that no such manual exists for Nisus. I know you can get stuff from the Help menu, but has anyone thought of doing a manual devoted solely to the Nisus macro...

Re: Possible feature Request(s)

Thanks again Hamid - not sure what I'd been doing wrong but for some reason I couldn't get it to 'stick'. I thought I knew my way round Nisus by now, but there's always something new you can learn.

Re: Possible feature Request(s)

Not a big deal but is there any way to make this automatic? IE make this permanent for all new files.

Anybody any thoughts on the David Hewson link?

Re: Possible feature Request(s)

From the Comments gear dropdown menu (at the bottom of the document window) apply 'Comment Display Options...'. This will bring up a pane where you can set the Comment pane to appear on the right. Thanks Hamid. Incredible how you can look at things and still not see them even when they're right in ...

Possible feature Request(s)

There may be a way to do this but if not please consider it a feature request. Is it possible to make the comments sidebar open on the right of the screen rather than the left? I know it will be pointed out that this may interfere with the tool draw, but if you are reviewing an article in comment mo...

Re: Locking up

Big problem. I imported a 127 page document from Scrivener and have been editing it. Suddenly it freezes, ....... I take it you export from Scriv as .rtf and then use Nisus to open the resulting file. Have you tried importing into Word? (Washes mouth out :-) ) I would export your file from Scriv an...

Feature Request

Would it be possible to have a toolbar icon for show/hide the navigator pane? Also at the top of the navigator pane a small button "add bookmark as..". This would bring up the current add bookmark window with any highlighted text as the bookmark name, or you could add your own text. To me ...
