If you want to jump to the text of each successive note, you can use a NWP macro (with extension .nwm) like the following and assign a keyboard shortcut to it:
Select Next Note Reference
Go to Note Text

NWP manual
You can download the manual from this page: http://www.nisus.com/pro/ It is under 'Useful Links' 'User Guide'. It has not been updated for the public beta. For new information, not covered in the old manual, see 'New Features Guide' in the folder 'Nisus Writer Pro 1.1 public beta' For NWP 1.0.3, the...

Lookup words without launching dictionaries
You can also lookup words in Apple Dictionary/Thesaurus and other dictionaries following the same protocol without launching them. In Cocoa apps hover the mouse over a word and Press Command-Control-d to lookup the word. To view any other words in the same document, you can release 'd' while still h...

Quotes
the straight quotes went curly It is the QuickFix settings of your language which does that in the macro file. To prevent this happening, use a Tech language setting for all NWP (.nwm) and perl (.pl) macro files; this is particularly important for perl macros, or perl code included in NWP macros, w...

Headers and endnote references
I cannot reproduce the problem. What you describe was a bug in an earlier version of NWP which I reported and which was fixed. Are you using the current version of NWP (1.0.3)? When a heading marked for inclusion in TOC contains a footnote/endnote reference number (which is marked like the rest of t...

Bug
Thanks Martin, but I think there still is a problem, when I want to apply the Macro, il tells me there is an error in the first line. Am I missing something here? Nisus Macros are supposed to treat straight quotes the same as curly quotes, but it seems not to be the case when you run this macro. Th...

Line numbering
Line numbering is a built-in feature which you can access from the View menu. If you want to number paragraphs only, you can use the following macro. Copy the macro below and save it with .pl extension, and run it on a copy of your file. #Nisus Macro Block #source front #destination new #End Nisus M...

It seems the only way now is to use 'Number List' style from Lists from the Format menu or the Formatting palette group.

Re: document manager awkward
In that blank space between "delete" and "rename" there should be some ability to navigate folders, shouldn't there? I quite agree. The Document Manager as it stands now is very limited, and I hope there will be a major rewamp of this feature. One glaring limitation is that it a...

Re: Remembering tray settings
Try the Fonts panel (Command-t). You can leave it at 'Fixed Width' when you quit NWP. It remembers the settings when you next invoke it from within NWP. You can also add the fonts you use most to the 'Favorites' collection.dismas wrote:That seems like more clicking and typing than my current solution.

Re: Remembering tray settings
Is there another way of me doing this that I'm missing? Or do I have to keep pulling down the menu each time I use NWP? Triple click in the Font Family box to select the current font name and enter the name of the font you want. The font name is auto completed, so as you enter 'Courier' followed by...

Statusbar
Place the cursor anywhere where there is underlining. If the underlining is not a defined character style but just an attribute, you will see in the Statusbar at the bottom right of the document window a small button or tag with an underlined ‘a’. Click on ‘a’ and from the menu which appears, apply ...
