I hope this is done through a preference, not populating the stats counters with tons of different numbers. A clean stats palette is your friend, a busy one a severe distraction while writing.

I'v already completed a 30-page long document with NWP beta, and it seems to work fine. At least, I didn't loss any data. I would go for it with no fear.

I've tried to use Nisus Writer Pro on some projects that I had to exchange with Word users. As of now, I can say that documents with a rather clean format, including tables and graphics, can be edited in NWP and read by Word. On the other hand, complex documents, where Word has been used as a mini-l...

I, too, find the original icon a bit inelegant. I found, somewhere, this alternative icon, that to me is much more elegant and meaningful:

Nisus people: please let me know if this is copyrighted material, and I'll immediately remove the file.

I hope it will be compatible with Scrivener's annotations. That program uses the Cocoa text engine, and the RTF file format, too, so it shouldn't be an impossible desire.

To replace the existing help.pdf, locate the Nisus Writer Pro application icon, open its context menu (right-click or control-click), choose "Show package contents". From the Finder window that opens, navigate to Contents->Resources. Or, while the manual is shown onscreen, Cmd-click its name in the...

Not a solution, but a trick that might be useful: grab a picture out of the title text by using Shift-Ctrl-Cmd-4, and paste it into a new document in Preview (or a drawing application). Rotate it, and use the above shortcut to grab a new picture. Paste it into a side cell, and it will look like rota...

Abdassamad,

You probably already know of it, but I aks just to be sure: isn't the Spotlight search engine doing the same?

Also, the Window > Document manager command should be a bit like the old Catalog window (apart for the Search function, that would have been a duplicate of Spotlight).

Full Screen and vertical scrollbar

Hello Everybdy,

While playing with the demo, I noticed that you cannot hide the vertical scroll bar while in Full Screen mode. This seems to me to damage the general effect of "dark room" this mode should be intended for. Am I missing some preference somewhere?
