Flashing Text
I am editing a document, not terribly long. This particular paragraph only has English text, no footnotes, nothing special. I put my cursor in the middle of the sentence and begin typing. The entire line flashes with every key stroke. (NB: It is the visual display line, not a sentence or paragraph. ...

Re: Footnotes after Hebrew text
This has to do with the Unicode layout rules. You'll want to insert a left-to-right marker after the close parenthesis and before footnote reference. You can insert such a marker using the menu Insert > Directionality Marker > Left to Right Marker . Martin - is there a way to set up a character sty...

Re: Footnotes after Hebrew text
Mark - The parens started out the same and are both English fonts. I am absolutely certain of this. I type in Hebrew, switch back to English and close parens, just as you describe, and it happens every time.

Re: Footnotes after Hebrew text
Excellent! Thank you Martin. Is this documented somewhere or something that you all will try and automate/fix?

Footnotes after Hebrew text
I have run into an odd repeatable problem. * Writing in English include Hebrew text in parens (למשל) * Add a footnote after the parens * End up with (1(למשל See the image. http://targuman.org/files/NWPfootnoteHebrew.png I searched the forum but did not see this problem reported. Anyone else find thi...

Re: Pro 2.0.1 public beta (bug fixes and Lion support)
Installed Lion yesterday -- Nisus 2.0 didn't work. Installed Nisus 2.0.1 -- won't work if it's inside the Application folder (despite the routine which is supposed to put it there), will work outside -- but ever so slowly. In the end, I reverted to Snow Leopard. Alex Sorry to hear that it is not wo...

Note Styles: Footnote - How to reapply format?
[There is a similar but much wider ranging discussion here: http://nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4095&hilit=note+styles&start=15 but I don't think they get specifically to this.] How can I force the Footnote style to be reapplied to the text of a footnote? Since the Footnote style...

Re: Would you want Nisus Writer to support the ePub file format?
I will have to try the html conversion and Calibre solution that Freedom mentions, but I would be thrilled if we could have straight to ebook in NWP! With the iPad and iPhone being so ubiquitous among my students and iBooks being very enjoyable way to read, I would have a tremendous use for this in ...

Re: Pasting Unicode Hebrew from Accordance to NWP
Thank you all for replying! My response, in reverse order: DavidK - I have set the Accordance preferences for Unicode and I have tried it with various permutations of stripping nikkudot, etc. Always comes up Apple Braille in Nisus WP (as does Greek). Elbrecht - I tried it in TextEdit. Slight variati...

Pasting Unicode Hebrew from Accordance to NWP
When I paste Hebrew from the Accordance Bible app into NWP (1.2) I get either Apple Braille or Times (in red, this means font substitution, right?). What am I missing that I cannot get it to simply paste in the Hebrew font I have selected? Further problems: I have NWP set up with Languages so that w...

Such an ability is needed for text critical work and this is why Mellel included it (they asked several of us who are scholars). It works this way, for example in the Aramaic Bible series (T&T Clark and Liturgical Press), where you have one set of notes, using letters to denote them, that commen...
