More saving questions: In Nisus Classic, I had preferences set so Nisus saved a version of the doc every several minutes. It appeared in the same file as the current doc, but with an *. When I set the saving preferences in NWE, I don't see a way to make this happen. I have the program set at Overwri...

To change the default styles for new documents you will want to edit the styles in your Nisus New File. To do that visit the New Document preference pane, click the Advanced tab, and finally the Edit File button. Then modify the styles using the Stylesheet and save the document. Hi Martin, I tried ...

I, too, am having problems with styling in NWE 2.7. (I have been studying the manual but remain confused.) 1.How do I get palettes back in the tooldrawer once I have moved them onto the screen? 2. To get all headings into my chosen font, do I need to adjust each one, or is there a way to tell NWE I ...

Hi Craig - Thank you for your commiseration - I'm sorry you're all having to suffer through my having such a hard time switching over. Your instructions were very exciting, because now for the first time I do have little black arrows I can move about. I have not really gotten the hang of the interac...

Sorry, Martin. The only little arrows I see are at the far right of the ruler bar under tools. When I click on them, I see a listing for left, right, etc., but nothing changes in the document or in my next paragraph. There's a little black arrow under Lists, but that doesn't tab either. Where should...

Thanks; I'm flying to Pennsylvania tomorrow and I will spend some time with the manual then. ......What happened to the simplicity of having tabs you could just drag across the top? TABS, which have an actual meaning as far as editing a document goes, not DROPLETS, which don't. And CONJOINED DRAG? Y...

New to NWE, I beg that you give it what I thought were the basics in Nisus Classic and never suspected would not be in NWE: TOC and index - cannot live without them. Am going to have to return to old iMac and Nisus Classic. Visible vertical rulers. Visible tabs on top bar. Visible space bars. It was...

I'm having plenty of trouble coming in from Classic Nisus to NWE - for instance, I don't yet understand HOW to set tabs. But I can't believe that the only way to fix this last line indent thing is to upgrade to 10.4. I've gone through the doc again and again, setting it to a predetermined style, whi...

The mystery is starting to resolve --- inspired by your ideas, I did lug the printer back in, checked all settings (which were okay) and did a test doc - which printed perfectly. Back to original brief - still no page numbers. Set all margins, footers, exactly like test doc - still no page numbers. ...

It's not too late - I'm putting off lugging the printer until tomorrow morning....but I did try to save it and then open in Nisus Writer, but the formatting (yes, drat) did not come through well. I'd rather just write the doc in Nisus Writer the first time round. So far the only reason to run OSX ap...
