Re: When is 2.05 coming out?

I don’t think 3.0 will be the next upgrade. From 2.0 to 3.0 is too big a leap. Version 1.x had been around almost four years when 2.0 turned up. 2.0 has been around two years now, and they only released minor updates. Hence, 2.x is going to be the next major upgrade, 2.0.5 being a minor. By the way,...

Re: I really dislike Mountain Lion

Hello, Jester. You are not alone. Search for “downgrade snow leopard” in Apple Support Communities . Looks like Apple made it an almost impossible task to downgrade any recent machine. I suspect they fiddled with the firmware. As for me, I am sticking to SL and MacBook for reasons that are to do wit...

Re: Multiple Searches in one selection

As far as I know, if you select some text and search “In Selection”, the engine will find all occurrences within the selection without any need to select again. For example, try to select a portion of text, then activate Find/Replace. Click on “In Selection” from the “Where” pop-up menu. Enter some ...

Re: Epub Export

Can you read epubs with a kindle? No. I convert them using calibre . It’s a very useful tool. You can convert from epub to epub and it will change the units for you. Anyway, I’m glad to see you solved the problem. You can change px into pt using a plain search/replace. Finally, I agree with you tha...

Re: Epub Export

Hello, Thomas.

Have you tried substituting 1em for 12px? I don’t know about your reader, but it works on Kindle.

Greetings, Henry.

Re: Another Capitalization Question

Many years ago, some twenty or so, I remember Aldus FreeHand (I suppose that was the name) allowed you to set the kerning in ens. Now, ens, like ems, are a relative measure unit, so 0.2ens was 20 percent. of the width of a lowercase en letter in that particular font. I think that was some typographi...

Re: Feature idea

Hi, Philip.

Maybe I misunderstood, but you can set a shortcut to start a macro. Go to Preferences > Menu Keys > Macro.

Re: Macro Menu showing doubles

This happens on and off to me too. NWP 2.0.4 and OS 10.6.8. I can’t reproduce it. It quietly comes in and quietly goes away. Anyway, clicking on either of the twin menu item starts the macro OK. It’s just a visual bother, think of a mosquito without sting.

Greetings, Henry.

Re: Viewing Coding So I can Remove Formatting Manually

Hello, Patrice. I think, it might be useful to post the offending documents, both the original rtf and the resulting epub, on this forum. So everyone can check them. Of course, you can garble the text using NW’s Redact macro, or change it manually. Also I could try to convert the document, or a snip...

Re: Newbie needs some help with macros

Also, you can create a macro out of a find/replace find. Write your definition using PowerFind, then switch to PowerFind Pro. Find and replace definition changes to regular expressions. Click on the gear and select Macroize…. Select Replace All and save the expression as a macro file, or copy it to ...

Re: Newbie needs some help with macros

Hello, Warren. I’m sorry I don’t understand your point three. Can you post an example with some text before and after? As for the others, this macro will do the job. Note: I assumed that you wanted to substitute a space for a carriage return. Find and Replace "\n(?!\t)", " ", "aE" Find and Replace "...

Or zoom might be enabled in style sheet view. Other than 100%, that is.

Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar

Perhaps you can share your test document or exact process that produces too many styles? Thanks for your patience, Martin. I have attached the files, both source and destination. Here are the steps to trigger the bug, or rather behavior. Install Style library in your style library folder. Then, 1. ...

Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar

You should be seeing such a prompt when you paste text with conflicting styles. At least, if you have your NWP preferences so that "On Style Conflicts" is set to "Always ask me what to do", which is the default. When the prompt appears and you click "Add Pasted Styles", NWP should detect that the N...
