Re: Table of Contents

Hello. Please forgive my ignorance. I've used search as well as NWP's help but to no avail. I can't seem to figure out how to create a functional TOC. NWP manual covers the table of contents topic starting from page 199 through 208. Note that if each of your chapter has a heading (as is the commone...

Looks like you are using PowerFind. Try switching to PowerFind Pro, instead, then digit: Find: \([0-9]+\):\([0-9]+\) Replace: \2:\1 If this doesn't work, try this Find expression: \([0-9]+\)\:\([0-9]+\) I haven't used NWC for quite a long time now, and am not sure whether colon needs be escaped or n...

Find: ([0-9]+):([0-9]+)
Replace: \2:\1

This should work.

So, if you have a double processor G5 equipped with 1 GB RAM, and running Leopard, you can hope to type as fast as my old LC with 12 MB RAM and system 7.
So much for technological progress!

738.6734 times? Sounds like one time you started saying and stopped suddenly when about two thirds down the speech. Cough?

My fault. I re-downloaded the file and it seems to work now. Also, I modified the macro to have it load styles from a file different from the usual Nisus New File. It would be the ticket if it could overwrite existing styles, like with the copy/paste method. I know, I know, this is a limitation not ...

By the way, time ago Nobumi Iyanaga (http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~n-iyanag) published a macro to import all the styles defined in the Nisus New File template. I never got it to work and so ended by putting it on the back burner. So it lies buried in my macro folder since, and waiting for me to learn e...

Hi, Paolo. You import/export styles the following way. Go to Stylesheet view. Select the style(s) you want to export (click on names in the left pane). Copy (Command-C). Open the document or template you want the styles to export into. Paste (Command-V). In case of conflicting names you will be aske...

Oh, my! That was my writing, Martin. Only I forgot clicking Disable HTML in this post.

Hello. NWE can't search text with attributes. You need Pro for this. Anyway, here is a workaround. Click on any italics text and select Select All from the character tag pop-up (the tiny letter "a" that appears in the statusbar). Open the Find and Replace window. Activate PowerFind Pro. In Where, se...

I think you can connect the two computers through an ethernet connection. Now, the problem is that LC's did not come with embedded ethernet. A card had to be installed separately. Maybe your LC has one that you are not aware of. Check on the back. It is a huge rectangular hole, about two inches acro...

You may as well do like this.

Enable PowerFind Pro.
In the Find What box type: .+keyword.+\n
(Where "keyword" is the particular word you mentioned)
Click Find All.
Copy.

Hope this will help.

Very well. No, none of my older macros seems to go astray. As far as I can test them, at least, and as far as I need them (some of them I do not even know what are for ). javascript:emoticon(':)')

What does it mean, exactly, Martin? I have a number of .pl macros, some of which did not come with NWP. Will substituting .nwm (not .nwp, I guess) for .pl do the trick or should they be chucked away and that's that?

Plus one.
That was the topic some time ago. In the times of NWP 1 beta, if I remember well.
I agree with you. Many times the caret, or I-beam as you call it, seems to vanish into thin air.
