Re: Arrow jitter in tables

I unfortunately don't have any explanations or solutions for you, however I do recall at least one other customer writing to us about this problem in the past. As with you, the effect was limited to situations involving tables and a secondary monitor. The other customer complained about mouse cursor...

Re: Turning an integer into an array of its digits

The best way to pass such info between macros is to use a Registry object. This is because registries can handle arrays and hashes without any fuss. Another way to pass data between macros is using the argument hash. One macro can call another macro and pass it an arbitrary hash object containing w...

Re: Turning an integer into an array of its digits

A thing I still don't quite understand is about hashes. There is a command to retrieve a value that goes with a key. But how can I retrieve the key if I know the value? Philip already gave a good reply to this question, but if you're not concerned about performance then you don't have to pre-build ...

Re: Turning an integer into an array of its digits

Your question is a bit confusing. You asked how to transform an "integer into an array", but then said you already made such an array using the split function. It's true that strategy works just fine: $number = 12345 $text = "$number" $list = $text.split("") Prompt $list At that point the $list vari...

Re: Line spacing when using Combining Diacritical Marks

putting the insertion point (caret) right after the character causes the FE to detect the font substitution in the main body text while you need to select the character fully for text inside a table. Are there any reasons for the different behavior? I would expect these to behave the same, so there...

Re: Line spacing when using Combining Diacritical Marks

First, the vertical alignment of text in this cell appears to be Top, which would seem to be at variance with the line height problem seen when the glyph in question is situated in ordinary (non-Table-situated) text. One would have expected the text in this cell to be lower than that in the other c...

Re: Line spacing when using Combining Diacritical Marks

in regards to Formatting Examiner's ability to detect font substitution I made a quick test (using OP's document). It seems that FE is detecting the substituted font for main text but not for text inside the table. Am I missing something? This is working correctly for me, in either a table cell or ...

Re: Line spacing when using Combining Diacritical Marks

The core problem here comes down to fonts. Nisus Writer doesn't directly increase the line spacing or raise your text because of the overbar. The problem is that the composed character q̅ is not supported by your document font. Arial Narrow cannot display q̅ in your text. Whenever this happens Nisus...

How do I recover lost text or a deleted document?

Re: Interface Language

That is still possible in the current version. Please check two things: 1. Make sure that the French language is applied to the text you are writing. 2. Make sure that the "smart punctuation" preferences for French are set to use guillemets with spaces like so: quickfix.png Please let us know if you...
