Re: catalina and Nisus Pro
OK thanks, I guess. I was sure that in exams that recent I had already changed everything to PDF format. Perhaps the default format in MathType is PICT. Unfortunately none of the commercial equation editors are 64 bit, and none of the Tex editors appear capable of reading this images either, so I ne...

Re: catalina and Nisus Pro
Be glad to. Here is a midterm from a couple of years ago. I have it open right now on a MacPro running Mojave where it displays perfectly with all sections properly set up and all equations crisp and clear. Simultaneously I have it open on Catalina where only the section headings display and all the...

Re: catalina and Nisus Pro
It sounds like your equations are very likely to be images using the old PICT data format. That's a legacy image format that has fallen into disrepair as new macOS versions have been released. Please see our FAQ entry about PICT images , but the short answer is that you should replace your images w...

catalina and Nisus Pro
I make up a lot of Math tests. These have sections with varying numbers of columns and lots of equations. OK I know that in Catalina the various equation writers do not work. But the files I created in Mojave do not even display correctly when I call them up in Catalina.. The sections are garbled an...

Re: Apparent serious bug in 2.1
I should add that I can obviously install an older version of Graphic Converter, but I'm not sure I can get it to read the equations from a Nisus file--tucked away in a resource fork no doubt.

Re: Apparent serious bug in 2.1
OK, I have uploaded a typical file. I have looked into this some more, and discovered the following: The version of Math Type I have is capable of reading the PICT files when I double clock on them in Nisus, of saving them as PDF, and then one can copy and paste into Nisus as the now PDF. So it is p...

Re: Apparent serious bug in 2.1
The good news is that recent versions of MathType have been updated to switch away from PICT images. I’m not sure when the change occurred, but recent versions now produce PDF images, which are not affected by this bug. The way to fix your files is to open the old PICT image in MathType and then re...

Apparent serious bug in 2.1
Among many other things, I create my calculus examinations in Nisus. This means many MathType equations are pasted into these documents. Pro version 2.1 does not display any of these equations; it replaces them with odd characters, or nothing at all. I have checked this out carefully, running 2.1 fr...

Re: Macro to call a unix script
Hmmm You give me hope, then snatch it away. Is there a way to pygmentize in Nisus macros: I want to take a file that consists of code, and render some keywords in bold, some in a colour, some in grey with a 75% screen--the words to be supplied in three lists, which could I suppose be separate files....
