So I sent some files for your perusal.
I hope you can reproduce the bug. It's quite annoying!

Re: Apparent serious bug in 2.1
Martin, since I was just playing with Linkback, is there a bug in Nisus where double clicking on a link back enabled piece of content is not launching the original app? I've tried with OmniGraffle and LatexIt and I cannot edit the original in the original app. LatexIt passes it's changes through, bu...

Re: Apparent serious bug in 2.1
Latex itself is not available in Nisus. But never fear, I think I found a solution for you. Nisus, the company, wrote a wonderful feature called "Linkback" that a few applications have adopted. One of those applications is called "LatexIt", which so happens to be a Latex Equation...

Re: Relative file links not saving in pdf?
Can we get something on this in 2.1.1? I had to open another copy of Nisus on a different drive to save my document with file links as a PDF. My approach that I detailed that I thought had solved this turned out to not work; the links had embedded Applescript sandboxing code in them. As it stands, I...

Re: NWP 2.1 Sandbox Breaks AppleScript
According to the release notes for Nisus 2.1.1 (that is in Beta, so it's not been publicly released yet); this issue may be fixed.

Re: NWP 2.1 Sandbox Breaks AppleScript
Okay, I'm not sure on the permissions bit (I'd recommend selecting the file in the Finder, doing a "Get info" command and making sure the permissions are set to everyone read/write/create on it), but my suggestion is to change your approach. Instead of trying to open the template file, jus...

Re: NWP 2.1 Sandbox Breaks AppleScript
This actually doesn't sound like an Applescript error. That folder is a Nisus folder; it sounds more like part of the file system sandbox is being tripped instead of an Applescript error (If Nisus can read it, so should any Applescripts Nisus runs). Perhaps there's an issue with the macro's getting ...

Re: 2.1: backwards compatibility
It's not necessarily all bad news. The Sandbox restrictions don't eliminate Applescript: they just make it more... challenging. To expand on what Martin said, and as I understand it: Basically, any Sandboxed app cannot use Applescript to target another app unless it has entitlements to talk to that ...

Re: 2.1: backwards compatibility
One other significant (indeed, I would say very significant change) for the worse, regrettably, is Nisus lost the ability to do much of anything significant with Applescript. Not necessarily Nisus' fault, as Apple's Sandboxing code means Applescript has been neutered to a great extent. Any macros us...

Re: Relative file links not saving in pdf?
I realize this is wonky; In fact it appears that relative links in PDF's is, to quote Steve Jobs, "a big ball of hurt." Nothing seems to handle them well, except possibly Acrobat itself (but who has that kind of cash to drop on that?) I deleted all my links and started over; the errors don...

Re: How to 'lock' graphics in place when converting to PDF
I had something like this come up. The key, I think, is the anchor spot. I wanted to put a scanned signature on a line, but while it was fine in Nisus, the signature graphic jumped up about 4 lines on any save/export to PDF. What finally fixed it was moving the anchor to as close to the line as I co...

Re: Relative file links not saving in pdf?
I've updated to the new Nisus 2.1. This problem still remains; and I'm getting a "There is no application set to open the URL "(and then it gives the url in url encoded format). This error makes PDF's really fragile when it comes to links. What can I do, if anything? Trying to edit the lin...

Re: Nisus 2.1 asked me to enter my licence like a new user
As a note, I had to reenter my license code as well; I'm running Mavericks so maybe it only auto migrates from Yosemite or something.

Relative file links not saving in pdf?
So I have a nice Nisus file, originally created in Nisus. I've successfully linked to some other files, pdf's to be exact, using the hyperlink->link to file command. I've used the relative path option. Now, when you move the Nisus file and the associated linked files around, preserving the structure...

Re: Future viability of Nisus
Some very interesting questions, Þorvarður. Let's address them. 1) Live collaboration--He may mean working on the same document simultaneously. Nisus can't do that built in, but as far as I know, Word can't either. And even if you can--don't. Word's fragile enough without simultaneous editing. Now, ...
